About

What #

While OpenPGP is not generally associated with fun, this site tries to have at least 20% more fun with PGP than the industry average.

More seriously, OpenPGP has long suffered from being hard to make sense of, and tools that tend towards excessive complexity. And projects that lean towards unpleasant patterns of interaction.

This page aims at learning/teaching and empowerment, both for users of OpenPGP and developers who are interested in incorporating the technology into their projects.

If you’re at all interested in learning about OpenPGP, this might be a good place for you.

Who #

I’m Heiko, I’ve been poking at OpenPGP with varying degrees of vigor since late 2018.

On the fediverse, I write about OpenPGP-related topics as https://fosstodon.org/@hko.

My main forge identity is https://codeberg.org/heiko/ (but I can also be seen on github and gitlab sometimes).

This site is RFC 3092-compliant
