About

What #

While OpenPGP is not generally associated with fun, this site tries to have at least 20% more fun with PGP than the industry average.

More seriously, OpenPGP has long suffered from being hard to make sense of, and tools that tend towards excessive complexity. And not least: projects that lean towards unpleasant patterns of interaction.

This page aims for teaching and empowerment, both for users of OpenPGP and developers who want to incorporate the technology into their projects.

If you’re at all interested in learning about OpenPGP, hopefully you’ll enjoy this site.

Who #

Most of the content on this page is currently written by Heiko.

I’ve been focusing on OpenPGP-related projects since 2018. Since then, I’ve collaborated with many projects and people in the OpenPGP ecosystem.

My main forge identity is https://codeberg.org/heiko/ (but I can also be seen on github and gitlab sometimes).
